Emergency shelter kits for Haiti

Habitat is providing 10,000 Haitian families with emergency shelter kits, which contain tools to make immediate basic home repairs and construct temporary shelter.


Building homes in Haiti

As part of Habitat’s long-term response to the recent earthquake, Habitat will build homes using a core house model. The houses are small, but safe and durable and will allow for future additions. Watch a video about Habitat's Core House Design.

The White House’s budget would cut nearly $80 million in grants, putting "sweat equity" projects at risk.  Ask Washington to protect future Habitat homeowners and neighborhoods.
