interested in getting youth, ages 5 to 25, involved in Habitat for

on Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. Read the articles below for the
latest details on what Habitat for Humanity is doing to help re-build
the Gulf coast and how youth can get involved in these efforts.

Thank you to the many of you who have contacted the CCYP department
expressing interest in helping out in Louisiana and Alabama. Hurricane
Katrina has left a devastating impact and we are heartened by the
outpouring of support and offers to help those in need. Anyone who is
interested in working with Habitat to help the survivors of Hurricane
Katrina should access the Hurricane Recovery effort section of

Many groups and individuals have expressed a desire to raise funds
for the hurricane relief efforts being made by Habitat for Humanity. Habitat
is very grateful for all the donations we receive and we encourage you
to raise funds for this effort. In order to help the victims of
Katrina, Habitat must have the resources necessary to do so. When
fund-raising, please make sure to keep the following guidelines in
