[Habitat Exec] ASA GBM reminder for Habitat for Humanity

Hi Habitat for Humanity,

As you hopefully saw last week, the ASA’s semesterly General Body Meeting is next Wednesday and will include the annual elections for the Executive Board. More information on the GBM and elections is available in our emails to the official ASA mailing list (archived at http://mailman.mit.edu/pipermail/asa-official/2013-March/thread.html).

Your group[*] is *required* to send a representative, and will be fined if you do not do so. To vote, send your President or Treasurer (as listed in the ASA Database: https://asa.mit.edu/groups/130/) or have your President or Treasurer list a “GBM Proxy” in the Database.

Additionally, if this email was not sent to your current officers’ list, please make sure to update your ASA Database entry (https://asa.mit.edu/groups/130/). Similarly, if your current president or treasurer is incorrect in the database (president: jzeidman; treasurer: awechsun), please update it. Your President and Treasurer should receive an email shortly; if they do not, please update the database and/or email asa-exec at mit.edu..

Members of your group are strongly encouraged to run for officer positions, especially if they are interested in making life better for student groups, whether that be by: improving the functioning of the ASA, Student Activities Office, Campus Activities Complex, or other MIT offices that work with student groups; organizing shared recruiting opportunities like the Midways or First Year Summer Mailing; improving ASA, SAO, CAC, or other policies; or anything else that affects student groups.
