Yes, only punta gorda has the $190 per person. Dade city is $130 per person. I think dade city was crossed off because we thought that we would be living at the town we would be working at, ie no sewer system and all.

I agree with Stephanie. If Dade City does not have the high rate I would probably lean towards it more. Just out of curiosity does anyone remember why/when did we crossed it off our original list?

Hey guys,

Some other places could be Dade City, Florida or Charleston, South Carolina. Dade City is right between Tampa and Orlando. I had it on my list of original sites. Here's a bit of what it says -- "The town needs so much—it's hard to tell where to begin. There are few paved roads, no street lights, and no sewer system. The business district fizzled out long ago." What I'm getting from it is that we would be living in Dade City, and then driving 10-20 minutes to the other town we would be working at. There's also one in West Virgina that's driving distance from DC, and it's in the middle of the Appalachian, which could be good or bad.

Hey everyone,

While the money does not sound ideal, it sounds like this may still be worth it considering how late its getting. Does anyone else have any objections or other ideas?

Also, Cynthia are there any other potentially appealing options you could share with us?

Thanks guys and hope everyone's enjoying their time back home,

Josh

Hey guys,

So I was looking at other places for us to go and there was a place called Punta Gorda in Florida that was 2 hours away from either Orlando or the Everglades. The only thing was that the contribution for each person was $190, which would end up being ~$400 more than if we chose other places. I don't know if it's worth it but it seemed a lot more marketable than any of the other sites.

Thanks for the input
Cynthia
