Hi Habitat Exec,
You should consider applying to the spring break trip! Exec members get
priority.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unsure of what you can do over Spring Break?!!
Apply to the Habitat for Humanity Spring Break Trip (March 21-28)!!
Here are the logistics:
We will be going to Lake Sumter in Eustis, Florida, in girl scout cabins
(with a pool!). Eustis, Florida is 45 minutes away from major beaches and an
hour drive from Orlando. The affiliate in Florida has completed 126 homes since
1990 and their goals is to finish 16 more homes for this year.
We will be working on March 23-27. Each build day starts at 8AM until 4PM
except a half day on Friday where will take a trip to the beach. Breakfast and
lunch are provided and the cabins have a kitchen available for use for the
evening meal. Students wil be staying in a lovely rustic setting at the local
Girl Scout Camp.
The Habitat for Humanity Spring Break trip can accomodate 14 students. The cost
for the trip is $125 plus airfare. Airfare will be partially subsidized through
grants. People committed to the trip will have the opportunity to fundraise to
lower their costs.
**Reasons to apply**
---Help a family achieve home ownership
---Learn carpentry and other construction skills
---Meet new people and enjoy the weather!
