Hi everybody,
Nina and Alison here - we hope you're all having a fantastic summer so far.
We're really excited about Habitat next year, and we hope you are too!

To start, we wanted to know your opinions about sponsoring a duplex. Next year,
we have the option of sponsoring or co-sponsoring a Habitat house in Lawrence.
In short, we pay a lot of money, but get our name out there and get first dibs
on workdays. Sponsoring is extremely expensive (we're looking at $60,000 for a
partial sponsorship and $96,000 for a full sponsorship), but we can raise the
money as the house is being built - so probably over the course of a couple of
years. We think it would be really neat to sponsor a duplex - to increase
awareness and interest in Habitat, but we don't know if have the manpower and
ability to take on a project this large.

We were also thinking that it might be cool if we could get other service groups
involved and have an MIT-sponsored house, rather than an MIT-Habitat-sponsored
house. It would still be great for us by raising awareness about Habitat for
Humanity, and it would be a better way to get the whole MIT community involved.

And finally, we were tossing around the idea of having Campus Build in the fall
next year, again to raise awareness for the club. Suggestions or ideas about
that, especially from the Campus Build chairs? That would require some planning
on our part over the summer.

Thanks for reading, and let us know what you think! And in the meantime, enjoy
your summer!
