Hey everybody!
I just wanted to give an update on the latest spring break status, and some
to-do's for the next few months.
An ad was put into the Tech for our spring break trip yesterday (thanks
clarissa!), and I think we should send out an e-mail to our spring break list,
and then to the rest of campus. Would you be able to do that, Lisa and/or
Clarissa? Bryan designed a nice application form
(http://web.mit.edu/habitat/www/spring). Yay Bryan!
The next thing we'd have to do is talk to the PSC about funding and maybe think
about actually having a build-something competition (i.e. having various
student groups compete against each other, building furniture or park benches,
etc.) next spring. Since it's really close to finals, perhaps this would be a
good project for IAP. Will anybody willing to help with that be around (I'll be
here, so you won't be alone! =) )?
Last: breakfast fundraiser and campus build. Hopefully camps build will happen
this year! Campus build chairs - you guys should start contacting companies for
donations starting in IAP. And fundraising chairs - you guys should do likewise
in IAP/early February.
Michelle - my roommate told me finboard made their allocations yesterday. Do you
know how much we received? Maybe some of that could go towards spring break. I
also have a receipt for you, and I think it has to be turned in by next Friday
(if anybody else has receipts, you should get them to Michelle soon!) Can we
set a time to meet up on campus to exchange receipts?
Alrighty, let me or Alison know about your availabilities, if you have any new
ideas (especially for fundraising), questions, etc.!
Nina
