[mit-habitat-exec] Update On Stuff

Hi exec,

 

Just giving you an update on life (of habitat).

 

Fundraiser: Moving it to CPW weekend (hopefully, pending food donations from
Au Bon Pain).  We have secured donations from Starbucks, Alpine and
LaVerdes.  We can most likely get donations from Star Market.  And we're
trying very hard for ABP.  We're also looking into hot chocolate from Dunkin
Donuts (b/c it's amazing).  Plan on having a meeting the week after Spring
Break to take care of the details (who will work booth, how we'll be getting
the food to campus, etc).

 

Sleep-Out: Moving it to first thing in the fall.  This isn't b/c we're
slackers.don't get the wrong idea!  Boston Commons is pretty much booked
solid and there is a LOOOOT of paperwork involved with holding a big event
there.  Anyways.we should be able to reserve one of the first weekends in
September for the event, leaving us lots of time to plan and get things
together.  If you have any more specific questions about it, feel free to
ask.

 

Campus Build: Not being moved!  We received $300 funding from the Spring
Weekend Committee.  This will pay for truck rental and nails for the
project.  It will be Saturday, April 29th.so keep that weekend open please.
Since our event is a Spring Weekend event, we will have a lot of publicity
and advertising-yesss!  Mike's doing a fantastic job of coordinating most of
this and it's not too late to get involved.  So if you're interested in
helping out, shoot us an e-mail.
