[mit-habitat-exec] SEPT 23!!! Boston Commons!

Hey everyone!

Hope you're summers are going/went well.  I have some big news... 
finally got in
touch with Boston Commons and it turns out we did get the permit 
application to
hold an awareness event for Habitat for Humanity on September 23.  Elyse and I
applied for this in the Spring and it is in place of the sleepout event 
because
we weren't able to get approval for that.

Sooo... as you can see Sept. 23 is SOON!!!  And we haven't done 
anything! Anyone who might be interested in helping to organize, let us 
know.  Here are
my ideas for the event so far, if you have any additional ones, let me know.

1. Have a speaker who works at Habitat or a speaker who is a homeowner.

2. Publicity: MIT tech or a local newspaper.

4. Music.. from an MIT group?

5. Have a community service station set up.  (ie. make peanut butter 
sandwiches
to take to a shelter).

6. Have a donation area (money and tools and maybe sign up sheet???)

7. Make a few nice flyers with info. to hand out!
