[mit-habitat-exec] Several Imptnt Things...but Fun and Happiness Things :-)

Hi,

 

First of all.a HUGE thank-you to everyone who helped out today.it went
amazingly well and I'm so proud of us :-)

Thanks also to Rishi and Lindsey for really pulling this event together.
They spent a looot of hours getting donations and succeeded, perhaps a bit
too much, haha.  

 

That said, we made $ 297.72 and have a TON of food leftover that will be at
campus build tomorrow and will afterwards be taken to the Caspar Homeless
Shelter.so come hungry and eat while you're building!

 

Onto next topic.

 

We have another big day ahead of us tomorrow.  Volunteers are going to begin
coming at 8 am tomorrow morning to help set-up wood and get started
building.  We are making 4 walls.  Most everything is labeled and with a
little bit of preparation tomorrow, we should be good to go.  Because these
walls are somewhat complicated, we need exec members to kind of oversee
volunteers, making sure they aren't messing it up.but be polite about it :-P

 

So, show up tomorrow when you can, b/c it's going to be a fun day.  We could
definitely be done as early as 1 pm if we get a lot of volunteers.

 

Final topic.

 

Lindsey and I decided today that we'd like to go dinner and bowling for a
fun event at the end of the semester with exec members, since you've all put
in a bunch of extra hours this semester.  This outing will be mostly if not
completely subsidized by Habitat.we'll work something out.  Is anyone
opposed to this idea?  Like the idea?  How does Friday, May 12th or
Saturday, May 13th work for people?  Let me know when you get a chance.
