Hello,
My name is Rashida Nek and I am a staff member of the MIT/Wellesley joint
magazine called Counterpoint. For the December issue, I am looking to write an
article on MIT's philanthropic groups. It will be similar to the FSILG survey
we did for the September issue, profiling different independent living groups
and describing what they were about. I want to do the same for all the
community service groups, so that more people are aware of how many groups and
what their diverse aims are, and how they can join in as well. (I myself did
not realize we had so many until I started preparing for this article.) Below
are a list of seven questions and if you could please answer them, I would have
the information I needed for the article. Other than that, if there is anything
you feel I should know, or include, please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Rashida
1. What does your organization do?
2. What is a common misperception (if any) of what your organization does?
3. Why should an MIT student join your organization NOW (i.e. explain why
your cause is so important now-- and take note that this answer will
appear in the December issue)?
4. What can a member hope to achieve through your organization?
5. Tell us about a few recent achievements of and/or events organized by
your organization.
6. When/where are your meetings/ how can students get involved?
7. What motivates your members to promote your cause?
