Subject: [mit-habitat-exec] Workdays

Ok, so I have confirmed April 9th, April 30th and May 7th for this semester.

April 30th is the SAAS date. We need to fill the April 9th and May 7th dates
ourselves.

I think we should email mit-habitat about the April 9th workday now.
Elyse (epieper), Anne (asy306): can you guys take care of that? I think we
should try and get 14 people. We have to take minivans, each can fit 7, and
I
don't think we should get more than two vans. Anne Chin (annechin) was
Volunteer Coordinator last year, so if you have questions, you can email
either
her or me.

Before opening it up to mit-habitat, are there any exec members who want to
go?
I would like to go, but can give up my spot if there's a lot of interest
from
the masses.

DETAILS:
The site is in Haverhill, MA, which is ~45 minutes away. We leave MIT at 8am
(meet at 7:45?) from McCormick or Baker or something. We'll leave at ~4pm
and
get back to MIT by 5. Volunteers should dress in comfortable clothes and
close-toed shoes. They should bring a hammer if they have one. Lunch can be
bought on site for $5. The lunch is cooked by the family, so it's good food.
Alternatively, volunteers can bring their own lunch. MIT Habitat will
provide
bagels, cream cheese, and OJ for breakfast.
It's a *ton* of fun, especially with a big group. Pictures from past
workdays
are on the MIT Habitat website (scroll down):
http://web.mit.edu/habitat/www/workdays.html

Hope this helps.

-Radhika
