Thank you so much for storing it! We really appreciate your assistance in
all of this. It means the world to us and the families moving into the
homes we are helping to build.

We have reserved Kresge Lawn for Sunday to do this event. Is it possible to
deliver the wood to this location on Sunday? If that's impossible, then we
can do it on the dot, Saturday. Regardless of where it occurs, we promise
to leave the ground in great condition!

Thank you for all your help and sorry for all the inconveniences and
misunderstandings,

Elyse and Anne

The grounds services and especially Norm Magnuson has been terrific in
taking it away and is temporarily storing it.

I have also just approved the dot for the weekend event, PLEASE make sure it
looks as good if not better than you received it.

Hi Tracy,

We were not informed of the cancellation until 2 AM Saturday morning and
therefore could not cancel the delivery of the supplies. We also intend to
hold Campus Build this upcoming weekend, when the weather is expected to be
better. I asked the Spring Weekend committee to assist us in finding
storage, but never received a response one way or the other. Since this is
the case, is there any way we can get assistance in moving the wood to some
sort of storage facility? We have no where to store the wood ourselves but
feel that we should have been given more warning to this matter. Perhaps we
can put them in Johnson or some other nearby location where they would be
more out of the way?

If this is impossible, then I guess we'll have to return the wood to Home
Depot and pay for the delivery/pick-up fees.

Sorry for any inconveniences this is causing,

Elyse and Anne

Hi Elyse and Habitat for Humanity officers:

It seems that Home Depot made its delivery on Saturday to MIT's campus
despite the fact that the Campus Build event had been cancelled earlier in
the week due to the weather forecast. It came to my attention this morning
that there are building materials blocking a sidewalk by Kresge Auditorium,
and MIT's Facilities Department wanted to know what to do with them. We
asked them to give us until the end of the day to get in touch with you so
that your group wouldn't be out money if the supplies could, in fact, be
returned to Home Depot.

The supplies can not stay where they are and we are trying to stay in the
good graces of Facilities such that they do not decide to charge for the
removal of the lumber!

Please get back to me ASAP with a decision on what you want to do with the
materials. Will Home Depot take them back at no charge? Can they be
donated someplace (note: MIT will not deliver them)? Can we just get rid
of them entirely?

thanks so much,
Tracy
