Dear Student Officers,

Sincerely,
The ASA Executive Board

2. First Year Summer Mailing (FYSM)
3. Midway
------------------------
1) Early Returns
------------------------
There are a few early returns remaining. These returns allow student group
members to return to campus early to organize their student groups for the
Midway. The DEADLINE of MAY 31st is approaching fast! If you are an
undergraduate who will live in a dorm next term, and want an early return,
please send your request via the form at:
http://web.mit.edu/asa/www/Summer/early-return.shtml
------------------------------------
2) First Year Summer Mailing (FYSM)
------------------------------------
The First Year Summer Mailing is a packet of flyers sent to incoming domestic students in early July. All ASA groups are invited to participate in the
mailing. In 2003, the cost was approximately $40 for Undergraduates or
Graduates ONLY, and $80 for both. The DEADLINE for submissions is
*** June 2nd, 2004 in W20-401***
For details and a link to the COVER LETTER, please refer to: http://web.mit.edu/asa/www/Summer/fysm.shtml
The stuffing party date has been set for the evening of Sunday, June 27th. If you have not already e-mailed us the contact person, please do so immediately.
----------------------
-----------------------------
3) Activities Midway
-----------------------------
The Midway will be held on Friday, September 3rd, 2004 in Johnson Athletic Center. Remember the deadline to register for space: JUNE 29th, 2004
Please submit answers to the following questions to <asa-midway>.
** NOTE ** You may request table space in 1/2 tables. Due to overcrowding in
Johnson, and the preference to maintain the Midway on one floor, preference will be given
to groups who apply for 1/2 tables. This is especially recommended for groups that like to be near one another.
What is the name of your group?
What is the name and e-mail of your SUMMER contact?
**For the rest of the questions, please justify why your group requires these amenities. **How many tables would you like at the Midway? Do you plan to use electricity at the Midway?Do you plan to use ethernet at the Midway?
Would you like to use a television at the Midway?
Would you like to have time in the performance space?
Other miscellaneous information as to Midway preferences is also appreciated!
