Hey everyone,
I hope you all had a good IAP. Now that the term is upon us, you should
think about whether you want to submit an appeal to Finboard. You can
submit an appeal any time until 5pm on 2/11. Finboard will then assign
you a 10-minute meeting slot during the subsequent weekend.
The online form is linked from the Finboard website,
http://web.mit.edu/finboard/ .
As a reminder, appeals should be submitted if:
- Your group's plans have substantially changed since the allocations
meeting.
- You believe Finboard did not correctly interpret your original request.
- You have a good reason to move money around between categories
- You received too much money and want to give some back.
You should view this as a second chance to get more money for the same
proposal. Finboard will not do this. What was fair in November remains
fair in February.
I would strongly encourage any of you who are planning on submitting an
appeal to fire off a quick email to me so we can discuss it. I will be
glad to work with you to fine-tune your appeal. I guarrantee it will help
you get the money you need.
Your friendly liaison,
Matt Levy
Finboard Chairman
