The Timberland Company


Cheryl is responsible for the human rights and global labor standards 
program as well as involved in social and environmental reporting. In 
her tenure at Timberland, she has focused on partnerships and their 
potential for addressing the short- and long-term challenges 
associated with global sourcing. Partnership projects include worker 
education programs with Verite' in China, and with CARE in Vietnam 
and Bangladesh.

The Timberland Company is a successful global retailer of men's and 
women's clothing, footwear, and accessories with 2003 sales of $1.3 
billion. However, the company may be just as well known for its 
corporate citizenship. Corporate Social Responsibility at Timberland 
takes many forms but is primarily grouped in three areas: Social 
Enterprise, Environment, and Global Business Alliances.
