Dear Student Officers,
 
Welcome back from spring break.  Included in this e-mail are final
details about the elections and constitutional amendments, which are
both items on the agenda for our General Body Meeting (GBM).  Also
included in this email are the FINAL, and EXTENDED deadlines for CPW
weekend participation.  Please also refer to the information about
copyrights and spring activities.

1. General Body Meeting
--------------------------
This year, the GBM will be held:
    Thursday April 8th, 2004
    7:00pm
    26-100

Attendance is mandatory. Any member of an activity can represent the
group, and an individual can represent multiple groups, but each
individual only gets one vote. Please contact <asa-exec at mit.edu> if your
group has a reasonable excuse for missing the meeting. Otherwise, an
unexcused absence may be cause for derecognition. Check-in for groups will 
will begin at 6:45.  You do not need to bring your constitution.  At the
meeting we will discuss summer events, constitutional amendments, and 
elections.  If you are a new group, please bring your one year review.
 
At this GBM we will be presenting some constitutional amendments.  These
changes can be found at the following website:

2. ASA Elections!
-------------------
This GBM will be the elections meeting. Eight positions in the ASA
Execboard are up for election:
President
Treasurer
Secretary
Undergraduate Member at Large (2x)
Graduate Member at Large (2x)
Student Member at Large (1x)

Please contact the ASA Executive Board with any nominations (of yourself
or others) via <asa-exec at mit.edu>. Nominations are open until a vote is
called, but it is best to have candidates before the meeting. The only
requirement to be part of the ASA Execboard is to be an MIT student
during the 2004-2005 academic year. For descriptions of the positions
please visit the ASA Webpage and read the constitution.

3. Campus Preview Weekend and Activities Fair
--------------------------------------------------
As in years past, there will be an Activities Fair during the Campus
Preview Weekend this year! It will be modeled similarly to the Fair last
year, and also the Activities Midway. It will be April 17th, from 4-6
PM. To participate, please contact <asa-president at mit.edu> with answers
to the following questions:

What is the name of your group?
How many tables would you like at the Fair?
Do you plan to use electricity at the Fair?  Please note that this may
not be an option.
Do you plan to use ethernet at the Fair?  Please note that this may not
be an option.
Would you like to have time in the performance space?
What is the name and email of your contact?

DEADLINE:  April 10th!!!!

4. Copyright Information

Many students and student groups have had questions regarding the recent
letter to the MIT community regarding the use of copyrighted materials.
Many of those questions have been answered through the advice of the MIT
Intellectual Properties Office.  Those answers are now available online
as an "MIT FAQ".

6. Spring Leadership Series

All Workshops are free & open to MIT Students

All sessions last 90 minutes and will be followed by free pizza
