Maslab (6.186) is an advanced autonomous robotics contest held during
IAP. Similar in some ways to 6.270, we use more sophisticated
equipment (including a 500MHz single board computer and camera) and
tackle a more difficult problem. There are few restrictions on
materials, sensors, and actuators enabling students to build very
creative robots.
Teams should have 3-4 members and be able to devote the bulk of IAP to
working on their robot. All MIT students are welcome, including
undergraduate and graduate students. The only prerequisite is that the
majority of your team should have some basic programming experience.
Each team's robot will participate in a friendly competition on
January 28th and after the contest, teams are free to keep their
robots.
Much more information is available on our website:

Registration ends Friday October 29th, and you can register online at the
website above. Registered students earn 6 units (P/F) plus 6 EDPs.

This is an extremely low-traffic moderated list. This is one of two
announcements you will receive this year. The second announcement will
provide details on the competition in late January.
