[Macpartners] Information on Apple blocking the Java plug-in

Good afternoon,

As you are probably aware, Apple has blocked the Java plug-in using their XProtect Anti-Malware System, causing multiple problems across MIT. IS&T has created a Knowledge Base (KB) article providing details, informational links, and temporary workaround instructions at

As we learn more and the situation with Apple develops, we'll update the KB article. The article also contains general information regarding Java 6 and 7 compatibility that may be helpful to Windows users as well.
