[Macpartners] IS&T Recommends TSM Users Upgrade to the New Versions

Good morning,
 
Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce the release of the following upgraded versions of Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM). All users are encouraged to upgrade their existing installations to the current versions.
 
·         Windows Users: TSM version 6.4 for Windows Vista, 7 and 8
·         Mac Users: TSM version 6.3.1 for OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion) and 10.8 (Mountain Lion).
 
[NOTE: This release includes both 32-bit and 64-bit installers.]
 
The new versions include a different method for configuring the TSM client for new user installations only. New users should follow the configuration process outlined in the Knowledge Base for Mac and Windows.  Existing users can just upgrade their existing installations.
