[Macpartners] software for instructional screencasts?

Hi Aran, 
Here are two options:
Simple: QuickTime Player.  Macs running Snow Leopard and later have screen capture built in (File > New Screen Recording).   You can capture all or part of the screen and do basic edits within the application or export the videos to iMovie or another video editing app.
More powerful: ScreenFlow ($99).  ScreenFlow is an excellent solution for building screencasts.  It has a number advanced features with an editor that is easy to use.
