[Macpartners] replace a disk in a recent model G4 powerbook?

The old G4 Titanium I just refreshed with the $99 320GB drive is running like a champ! I even tricked it into installing Leopard (10.5.8). It runs the latest Safari and iTunes just fine. Top of the line when new, this eight year old machine is still proving itself an exceptional value!

Of course, it can't run the newest software that requires an Intel processor, and other intensive programs are better suited to faster machines, but it's a shame to discard something that for a small investment can still be very useful.

Your Professor certainly deserves a new MacBook Pro, and should probably buy one. So then, spend $99 on a new disk for the old computer and try your hand at replacing it. If successful, you may find it handy as a spare.
