Thanks, folks! Another Mac partner sent me the secret, and all is working now.

Hi Marion,
According to Apple's documentation<http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=FontBook/2.0/en/fb680.html> for Font Book 2, the same version installed on Snow Leopard (2.2.1), and Font Book's Help section there are just three steps that you have to take to install new fonts in Mac OS X:
1. Insert the disc that contains the new font, or copy the font to your hard disk from another location.
2. Double-click the icon for the font in the Finder. Font Book opens and displays the font so you can see what the font looks like.
3. Click Install Font.
You can also install fonts by clicking the Add button (+) below the Font column in Font Book. Locate the fonts on your computer, and then click Open.
Also, if you want to create a whole new font library, you can follow these instructions:
1. In Font Book, choose File > New Library.
2. Type a name for the library.
3. Choose File > Add Fonts or click the Add (+) button below the Font column.
4. Select the folder that contains the fonts you want to add, and click Open.
I hope that this helps!

Hi -
I think I used to know how to install fonts on my Mac... but someone just emailed me a set I need, and I find I'm lost.
I gather, from asking the Help Desk & Googling, that I can just put the font suitcases anywhere and then use the Font Book app to make them useable... but I can't get any info on how to use the Font Book app. Is there a quick, simple action list someone can give me?
Thanks!
- Marion
