Hi Olimpia,
There are a number of things that can cause this failure, which fortunately doesn't happen very often.
Try the easiest things first:
#1 ) - Run "Software Update" to make sure you've got the latest patches for your version of OS X.
#2 ) - Run "Applications->Utilities->Disk Utility" and have it "Repair Disk Permissions".
#3) - The fact that you're experiencing it on more than one computer implies the culprit is a particular piece of software that they're all running. Make sure that software is up-to-date, and also check that it's version is compatible with your OS version.
#4) - If you still have the problem, try to determine exactly what program is running, or other circumstances of the crash. There's certain to be more clues that will lead you to the cause.
