Georg,
You can disable all the modifier keys in the keyboard panel of system
preferences. Click the "Modifier Keys" button in the bottom right of the
Keyboard tab.
Or, here's a great link explaining the whole process complete with screen
shots. Originally written to turn off Caps Lock key.
