[Macpartners] McAfee Security 1.0 for Macintosh Release Announcement

Hello,

Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce
support for McAfee Security 1.0 for Mac OS X users. McAfee Security 1.0
is for all Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and
replaces VirusScan as IS&T's recommended antivirus software
for the Macintosh. (Note: McAfee Security is a renamed and updated
version of VirusScan.)

* Full support for Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
* McAfee's latest virus detection engine

Who Should Upgrade to McAfee Security 1.0?
------------------------------------------
IS&T recommends that all Macintosh users running Mac OS X 10.4 or later
upgrade to McAfee Security 1.0.

The McAfee Security for Macintosh installer automatically removes any
previous versions of VirusScan. If you have other
virus protection software installed on your Mac, IS&T recommends that
you remove it before installing McAfee Security 1.0.

McAfee Security 1.0 requires a PowerPC or Intel-based Macintosh running
Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later.
