[Macpartners] Release Project for TSM Backup Client 6.1 for Windows and Macintosh

Good Afternoon,

IS&T, in collaboration with IT colleagues across campus, has officially 
begun the TSM 6.1 release project. TSM 6.1 is the latest version of 
IBM/Tivoli's backup/archive client.

Timeline:
------------------
IS&T anticipates that TSM 6.1 for Macintosh and Windows will be 
available at the start of February 2010 and will support this version 
when it's released.

Supported Operating Systems:
-------------------

     * Macintosh OS X 10.5
     * Macintosh OS X 10.6
     * Windows 7 (32-bit)
     * Windows Vista (32-bit)
     * Windows XP (32-bit)

Known Issues:
----------------------------

     * The current 6.1.0.x Mac client supports Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow 
Leopard) with the exception that system files in the
       HFS-compressed format will be restored as uncompressed.
     * The 64-bit Windows client will be released at a later time.
