[Macpartners] Fetch 5.3 for Macintosh Release Announcement

Good Afternoon,
Information Services & Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce full
support for Fetch 5.3 for Macintosh. Fetch can be used to transfer
files safely across the network to another computer using FTP (File
Transfer Protocol) or SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol). It uses
Kerberos and encryption to make your logon secure and your transfer of
data secret. This version of Fetch is recommended for all users.

Fetch 5.3 provides several new features, including:
* Improved compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
* Redesigned toolbar and button icons with updated look for Mac OS X
10.5
* Digitally signed Fetch application, to reduce unnecessary keychain
alerts
* Added support for uploading files using Copy and Paste

Fetch 5.3 is available to all MIT faculty, staff and students. The
installer can be downloaded from the MIT Macintosh Software page:
