[Macpartners] Dual-bootable external disk ??

Hello. I am trying to build a Firewire disk into an external tools-
and-diagnostics device. I want to partition it into bootable disks
for: Intel Mac OS X, PowerPC Mac OS X, WinXP.

I readily concede that you can take a firewire drive, build an Intel
OS X and boot from it.
You can also take a firewire drive, build an PowerPC OS X and boot
from it.

However, when I tried to make two partitions with separate
architecture OS X systems on each, the disk turned out not to be
bootable.

Am I asking for too much? Is my wish realistic?
