I haven't seen any problems with 10.4.8 on any of my 100+ Macintoshes  
(either PPC or Intel). Usual cautions apply. Use the Combo (not  
Delta) updater (which you don't have a choice, given that you'd be  
jumping two revisions). Repair Permissions/Verify Disk beforehand.
