3. What's New:
---------------------------
The latest support information for Intel-based Macintoshes, including
the status of IS&T-supported applications, is available from IS&T's
"Intel-based Macintosh Support at MIT" page:
<http://web.mit.edu/ist/topics/macos/intel.html>. This page will be
updated as vendors release information about their plans for
supporting Intel-based Macs.
4. Volume & Site License Software Update
--------------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft has revised the Campus Agreement offering for Windows
Servers. The enhanced agreement allows us to declare the number of
servers requiring licenses. The pricing is extremely attractive and
ensure future releases and software assurance. IS&T needs to hear
from Departments, Labs and Centers wishing to join the Campus
Agreement for MS Office and/or participating in the server agreement
by this Friday, May 5th.
If you are interested in joining the program, please contact Deb
Bowser <bowser at mit.edu> or Marion Bagley <marion at mit.edu>.
To receive other volume & site licensed software from VSLS, visit:

5. Windows Automatic Update Service (WAUS)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
We recommend users configure their Windows machines to use MIT's
Windows Automatic Update Service (WAUS) for critical patches and
service pack deployment.
WSUS is here. MIT WAUS now deploys updates for Microsoft Office
products.Check the Approved Updates page for details regarding
deployed packages. WSUS also adds support for 64-bit Microsoft
Windows operating systems. For more information about and
instructions on how to configure your machines to use WAUS, see the
WAUS documentation:
