[Macpartners] Question re Apple Mail signatures

I have several email signatures I use for various circumstances, in
two accounts in Mail (one is my own, one is for bldg 68 room
reservations). Until recently (the last couple of weeks or so), the
signature list showed up normally under the pop-up menu for
Signatures whenever I started a new email message.

All of a sudden, if I quit Mail and restart, the pop-up list
disappears. Only "None" is available as a choice. If I go into Mail -
 > Preferences -> Signatures, all of the signatures show up in the
furthest left-hand pane under "All Signatures", but under MIT IMAP
server, 0 signatures show up. I can drag and drop from "All" to the
server, and for the balance of that Mail session, the pop-up menu
again offers any signature I added to the IMAP server, in a new
message. But if I quit and restart, the signatures are again gone.

Interestingly, however, the one signature I attached to the Rooms
account, shows up every time I use that account to reply to a message
or create a new one.

My default signature is "none" on my main account, but it has always
been; I have not changed that.

Any ideas about why the signatures all disappear?

Thanks!
Gurukarm
