SAPgui 6.20 (the current version for Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther") doesn't
function properly after installing Apple's Java Security Update 4.0.

For now, when Java Security Update 4.0 appears in Software Update, do
the following:

- select Java Security Update 4.0 from the list of updates

- from the Update menu, select Ignore Update

This cause the update to be ignored by software update.

For anyone that is experiencing problems with SAPgui after installing
the update, the solution at this time is to re-install Mac OS X 10.3
and use Software Update to update to 10.3.9 and using Software Update
to ignore Java Security Update 4.0. We've been in contact with Apple
and are working with them to resolve the problem.
