[Macpartners] DVD burning and drive compatiblity?

Because the capabilities are derived from the firmware reported info whereas
disc burning support on Apple machines requires the OS to explicitly support
the firmware/command set the drive requires. Nowadays, this stuff is pretty
standardized and odds are the drive is just not listed in the internal
reference db the OS uses to look up to see if the drive is Disc Burning
compatible. Check XLR8YourMac for their database and others who may have tried
this drive and Google will get you a hack to get it working, if it is indeed
compatible.
