what is type of iBook is it?
Model number / description?
Thinking that because it is only 3 years old, you might be able to buy a laptop harddrive, then reinstall the OS and applications.
Nathan.

Subject: [Macpartners] Help with iBook
I have an iBook that's about 3 years old, and the hard drive crashed. Does
anyone have the parts/expertise to fix this for me? It belongs to my
daughter and she needs it for school.
Also, I have a clamshell power adapter available for sale (or trade for
used hard drive) if interested. This is brand new, still in the box, and I
paid $69.00 -- never used.
Thanks,
Patti Fitzpatrick
