within the MIT Community, to provide updated information regarding new and 
upcoming software products and services.

1. Recent Releases
-------------------------------------------------------
We have been working hard in preparation for school getting back in session 
this September.  The main focus has been on testing Serivice Pack 2 (SP2) 
for Windows XP and on getting the latest versions of software onto the Fall 
Getting Connected CD.  You will see in the coming weeks, several products, 
like Virex 7.5 and VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i being released for this fall.

3. Volume Site License Software Update
----------------------------------------------------------
After a longer than desirable delay, we have resolved the Matlab R14 
license code problems with Mathworks and are able to provide updated 
license codes for Matlab R14.  Visit the VSLS site to request Matlab or

4. Operating systems retirement
--------------------------------------------------
On August 11, a communication was sent to the Community regarding the 
retirement of Windows 2000. For more information, please

Mac OS X 10.3.5 was released by Apple and testing so far has been favorable.

Windows XP SP2 was released by Microsoft and testing is nearing
