Hi wonderful friends of Lookit,

One of our biggest challenges for recruitment and testing on Lookit this
year has been that we're still using Flash as the interface to the webcam*.
I've finally set up to switch to the WebRTC protocol, which should make
that aspect much more reliable for participants.

You can help by trying this "study" on the staging server and seeing if it
works for you - it should take about three minutes. The main thing to check
is that you're able to get through the setup page and make your consent
recording.

(you can log in as lookit-research at mit.edu / openscience, or create your
own account)

Let me know about any problems you run into, either via email or via the
form at the end. Thanks so much! One step closer to stuff Just Working :)

(Current alpha testers - more information will follow next week about the
transition for your existing studies. Should be painless!)

Kim

* This was a very reasonable decision... several years ago.
