Michigan State University Supply Chain Management Position – Fixed Term

Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business, Department of Supply Chain Management, has an opening for a fixed-term instructor or non-tenure track assistant professor with expertise in purchasing/sourcing and/or operations management to start in the 2022-2023 academic year. While the initial contract will be for one-year, multi-year contracts will be considered at the time of renewal. Duties include teaching and service. Salary and terms are negotiable depending on experience and rank. The position requires a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited university for instructor rank and a PhD for assistant professor rank.

Candidates should have a strong interest and background in purchasing/sourcing and/or operations management. The successful candidate will be expected to teach purchasing/sourcing and/or operations management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to interface with the purchasing/sourcing and/or operations management practitioner community. An ideal candidate will have prior experience in teaching purchasing/sourcing and/or operations management courses and demonstrated ability to work with purchasing/sourcing and/or operations management executives. Interest in strategic sourcing, supply chain analytics, and/or supplier management is highly desirable.
