Job Description: Associate Professor/Professor of Supply Chain Management

The John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for an Associate Professor or Professor tenure-track/tenured-track in supply chain management effective (August 2022).  

The selected candidate is expected to contribute to the mission of the program in the areas of research, teaching, and service, whilst also supporting programmatic growth and aspirational goals such as, elevating the stature of the program. West Virginia University (and The John Chambers College of Business and Economics) is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.

Qualifications

The ideal Candidate should have attained their doctoral degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, business administration, or a closely related field. The candidate must exhibit a strong publication commensurate with the rank sought, including a record of publishing in high-impact academic outlets in the broad field of supply chain management. A research fit with the University’s focus on health-care or energy is a plus. Candidates are expected to provide evidence of excellence in teaching supply chain management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ideal candidates will embrace the Global Supply Chain Management program’s teaching philosophy grounded in experiential learning initiatives and an integrated end-to-end perspective on supply chain management. Additional evidence of industry outreach; academic leadership roles or support of department, college and university; and leadership in academic or industry societies are desirable.
