Position Description

The Department of  Information Systems and Operations Management at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Academic Year) with the appointment starting in Fall 2022.

Information Systems and Operations Management Department of the College of Business Administration and Public Policy
The Information Systems and Operations Management Department has seven tenured faculty, one tenure-track faculty, three full-time lecturers, and several part-time lecturers. The department offers concentrations in Information Systems, Information Systems Security, and Global Supply Chain Management at the undergraduate level. The Position
This is a new position, which offers the ability to shape an invigorated Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) program with research, community outreach, and curriculum development.  The position requires regular publication in peer-review supply chain management/operations management journals, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and service.

Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include teaching in one or more of the following areas: business statistics, business analytics, operations management, purchasing management, transportation management, supply chain management, business process improvement, and/or other related areas. Additional responsibilities may include advising undergraduate students involved in the GSCM program and assisting in the continued development of the GSCM program. Specific course appointments will be based upon departmental needs and the applicant’s exact areas of expertise.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

  *   Applicants must have experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
  *   PhD by time of appointment in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field with a primary focus on areas related to supply chain management.
Preferred Qualifications

  *   An active research record, which focuses​ on global supply chain management.
  *   Experience teaching in global supply chain management and related areas.
  *   Relevant practitioner experience in purchasing, logistics, transportation, port operations, or supply chain management.
  *   Experience with teaching on-line courses.
Employment Requirement – Background Check
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.  CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.  Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083, revised July 21, 2017, as a condition of employment.

The certification must translate the information in English, and confirm that your highest terminal degree is US Equivalent to a US terminal degree (i.e., Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate’s, Doctor’s of Philosophy).
