I am seeking the assistance of the academic supply chain community to help me create a list of all doctoral program coordinators and students in doctoral programs for supply chain management.
Many of you may be familiar with the annual WhoWentWhere survey conducted annually since 2003 by the American Marketing Association DocSig group. The survey is sent to all doctoral students who have started to interview. (see https://www.ama.org/who-went-where-survey/ )
In the words of AMA "The report offers students preparing for the job market a reference as they seek a position in the field. Additionally, it offers Marketing departments with a guide to stay competitive. Incoming doctoral students may also wish to use this as an aid to designing their own path for their doctoral student experience." The AMA has approved my proposal to conduct the same survey for the supply chain community.
The Supply Chain Management survey has been patterned after the AMA survey and has been set up in Qualtrics and approved by my university's IRB. The next step is to compile a list so we can send out the survey. The survey covers doctoral students in supply chain related fields including Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, and Decision Science.
This is where you come in. If you have a doctoral program for any of these related fields could you please send me (Farris at unt.edu<mailto:Farris at unt.edu>) :
1. The name and contact email address of your doctoral program coordinator.
2. Names and contact email addresses of any current doctoral students regardless of how far they have progressed in your program.
3. Do not worry about redundancy as I will sort out multiple responses from the same school.
Our goal is to send out the inaugural survey in mid-summer so we can have a report in early Autumn.
My thanks in advance,
Dr. Ted Farris
University of North Texas
