Position: The Auburn University Harbert College of Business in Auburn, AL is seeking qualified
candidates for two nine-month, non-tenure track, non-tenure eligible full-time teaching faculty
position(s) in Supply Chain Management starting in August 2020. Contract renewed annually based on
need, funding and performance. The position can be filled as a lecturer/senior lecturer depending on the
background and experience of the candidate. The nine-month positions are designed to support the
Supply Chain Management degree program of Auburn University's Harbert College of Business.

Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the successful candidates for these positions is to teach
a selection of undergraduate supply chain management courses, assist in the professional development
of supply chain management students, and help to promote the department's Center for Supply Chain
Innovation (CSCI). The successful candidates will be expected to bring experience, innovation,
enthusiasm, technology and leadership to supply chain management program courses. Candidates with
an industry background or teaching record in the areas of purchasing, strategic sourcing, transportation,
risk management, and/or enterprise applications are strongly preferred. Under typical circumstances, the
teaching load for the position will be three to four courses per semester, which includes course
development and course management activities. In addition to instructional duties, successful candidates
will be expected to mentor students through the job search and hiring experience and into possible
participation in student organizations, as well as other mentoring and knowledge enhancement
opportunities. Candidates should be comfortable in teaching different modalities including face to face,
online, and face & online. Salary and rank are commensurate with experience.

Job Qualifications: Because this is a teaching intensive position, candidates should have a record of
high-quality teaching experience or significant corporate experience combined with exceptional
communication skills. Successful candidates will be required to possess a Master's degree or higher in
business or an appropriate related discipline area at the time employment begins. Practical supply chain
management experience is desired. Selected candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United
States without assistance from the employer at the time of appointment and continue working legally for
the term of employment. Excellent communication skills are required.

About the Program: The Supply Chain Management program was ranked as the #7 undergraduate
supply chain management program by Gartner in 2020. The faculty consists of an Eminent Scholar
and eight additional tenure track faculty, two lecturers, and three staff who support the program and
professional development of supply chain management students. The Center for Supply Chain
Innovation is sponsored by over twenty firms who make a multi-year commitment to support faculty
research and the curriculum. The supply chain faculty is known for its high-quality research,
exemplary teaching, and significant level of engagement in the supply chain industry.
