The Supply Chain Management (SCM) area at the University of Rhode Island
seeks to hire a full-time lecturer with demonstrated knowledge in the field
of supply chain and/or operations management for the Fall of 2020.

Teach introductory and/or graduate courses in Operations and Supply Chain
Management.

Teach and/or coordinate undergraduate and/or masters level courses
according to curricular needs of Supply Chain Management Area.

Assist in program development, maintenance and advising.

Qualifications

Required:

1. Master of Science or an MBA in the field of operations and/or supply
chain management, or a related discipline.

2. A minimum of five years industry experience at the middle to higher
level management position in operations and/or supply chain management, or
related discipline.

3. Demonstrated strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Demonstrated time management skills.

5. Demonstrated organizational skills.

6. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.

7. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.

Preferred:

1. Demonstrated ability to engage with industry, including but not limited
to: developing student opportunities for internships, on-campus recruiting,
guest lecturers, and class visits.

2. Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: international
transportation, transportation, procurement and/or warehouse management.

3. Demonstrated ability to engage with students for recruitment and service
activities. Activities include but are not limited to: participating in
graduation commencements, encouraging students to pursue Supply Chain
Management as a major and supporting activities outside of class that
enhance the growth of the program and the College of Business.

4. Expertise in transportation including but not limited to certifications
(i.e. CTL, CLTD).
