Position Title: Michael F. Price Endowed Professor of Supply Chain Management

Position Description


The University of Oklahoma (OU), the Michael F. Price College of Business, and the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management (MSCM) are pleased to announce a faculty search for the Michael F. Price Endowed Chair of Supply Chain Management at the rank of Associate or Full Professor of Supply Chain Management, with a desired start date of August of 2020.  This position is for a senior, full portfolio scholar with a national reputation for excellence in research, teaching, and service.  This is a strategically important endowed chair position at the University of Oklahoma, and we are seeking highly qualified candidates.

The Price College of Business is AACSB-accredited with approximately 4,700 undergraduate, 500 master’s, and 35 doctoral students.  Its undergraduate program is ranked 50th by U.S. News and World Report, and its professional and full-time MBA programs are ranked 52nd and 58th.  The Division of Marketing and Supply Chain Management is a vibrant community of scholars and teachers with a wide range of interests across the disciplines supply chain management and marketing.  The supply chain management undergraduate program is growing and is on a journey to becoming one of the top programs in the country.

Qualifications


Candidates for this position must hold a doctoral degree in supply chain management or a related field.  As a Carnegie R1 university (doctoral universities – very high research activity), we are seeking to attract a thought leader who shares our passion for all areas of faculty workload, with a primary focus on excellence in scholarship – someone with a distinguished record of publishing their scholarship in the leading supply chain journals.  Beyond scholarship, candidates must also be accomplished teachers with a record of excellence in teaching undergraduate, masters-level, doctoral, and executive courses.  Finally, candidates are expected to engage with industry and the academy and must have strong leadership, organization and communication skills, be willing to serve the college and university in important service roles and be active contributors to their academic disciplines.
