The Department of Supply Chain Management in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications and nominations for a tenure‐track position in Supply Chain Management at the Assistant, Associate or Full level, beginning 2020. The ideal candidate is a collegial, full-portfolio scholar with exceptional research, teaching, service, and industry engagement who will increase the productivity and reputation of the department.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have:
* A completed Ph.D. in supply chain management or closely related field from an AACSB accredited business school prior to the start date.
* Demonstrated the capability to publish empirical research in top‐tier SCM journals with an emphasis on the SCM Journal ListTM.
* Demonstrated a record of high‐quality teaching in supply chain management courses (purchasing/procurement, logistics, or operations management).
* High-quality oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate would also have:
* A demonstrated record of engagement with industry professionals.
* Demonstrated the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a contributing member of a supply chain management faculty team.
* Demonstrated the ability to teach and mentor doctoral students.
* 3 or more years of industry work experience.
* Experience teaching courses with a high degree of student‐industry interaction.
* Experience teaching in face‐to‐face, hybrid/blended, and online formats.
* Demonstrated the ability to teach in an executive MBA program.
* Demonstrated a record of providing high-quality college and university service (consistent with career stage).
