[Logprofs] Two positions at Chalmers University of Technology - Senior lecturer and Assistant professor

Dear colleagues,

The Department of Technology Management and Economics at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, invites applications for two  positions in Logistics and Supply Chain Management; (1) Assistant professor (tenure track), and (2) Senior lecturer/Associate professor. Our research is problem-oriented, empirical and inter-disciplinary, with strong emphasis on industry and societal relevance and high visibility in leading academic journals. We focus mainly on empirical case-based research in close interaction with industry. Teaching and supervision at all levels (BSc, MSc, PhD, executive) are important tasks, and are clearly embedded in our research and outreach. Applications are due September 15, 2019.

The core focus of the Assistant professorship is production logistics, including researching and teaching materials handling, operations planning and control, and information sharing. Perspectives varies between firm, supply chain, and production network levels. The position involves conducting empirical research of high international quality within the subject area. Further, it involves managing and teaching courses and supervising students at all levels. It requires participation in further development of the research group in production logistics, the broad operations management and supply chain management research at the department, as well as its networks within academy and industry. It also includes applying for external funding. The research approach requires the applicant to interact with industry and society, and be able to communicate scientific results, both to the public and industry and through scientific publications.

The core focus of the Senior lecturer is logistics within the broader context of supply chain management, in which sustainable development and technology serve as key driving forces and enablers for further advancements within the field. The position involves conducting empirical research of high international quality within the subject area of logistics and supply chain management. Further, it involves managing and teaching courses and supervising students at all levels. It requires participation in further development of the research group in logistics and supply chain management and its networks within academy and industry, and applying for external funding. The research approach requires the applicant to interact with industry and society, and be able to communicate scientific results, to the public and industry and through scientific publications.
