Job Summary
The Department of Finance and & Supply Chain Management in the College of Business at Central Washington University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management to begin in September 2018.  The position will be located at CWU's main campus in Ellensburg, WA.  The College of Business is accredited by AACSB.

The mission of the College of Business is to launch students toward a better future by engaging them in industry-relevant and student-centered programs driven by strong partnerships between students, faculty, and business professionals.

We are seeking an enthusiastic colleague who can live this mission through their commitment to teaching and mentoring students, ability to develop and grow industry partnerships and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty located in Ellensburg and at CWU Centers in the Puget Sound.  The ideal candidate will have industry experience through previous work or consulting.  They will be pursuing a research stream that supports their continued recognition as an academically qualified faculty for AACSB purposes.

Supply Chain Management is a specialization for the BS Business Administration degree.  Courses delivered by supply chain faculty may also lead to a Supply Chain Certificate, Lean Six Sigma Certification or Bachelor of Applied Science in Supply Chain Management.  The Department is also responsible for delivering Management Information Systems courses and has been a member of the SAP University Alliance program since 2014.

The majority of focus for our new colleague will be teaching supply chain courses to students attending CWU at its main campus in Ellensburg.  CWU's supply chain degrees and certificates are also available at University Center locations in Edmond WA, Des Moines WA, Lakewood WA and at Joint Base Lewis McChord.

The Supply Chain Management Institute (SCMI) serves as a primary connection between faculty, students and industry partners in the Pacific North West.  The institute receives funding from partnerships and endowments.  Funds support faculty development and special programming.

Minimum Qualifications
*         Doctorate in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or in a related field from an AACSB accredited institution. (Strong candidates who are ABD and nearing completion of their dissertation will be considered)
*         Academically-qualified for purpose of AACSB accreditation
*         Experience teaching supply chain related courses with evidence of teaching excellence through reviews and evaluations
*         Evidence of established or potential record for research in peer-reviewed journals as indicated by proceedings, working papers, submissions and publications
*         Consideration for a position as an Associate Professor requires successful track-record of teaching, research and service extending over multiple years
*         Experience with a variety of educational delivery systems (e.g., interactive television, online/internet offerings, blended delivery

Preferred Qualifications
*         Experience teaching courses related to supply chain management, purchasing, logistics, lean six sigma, enterprise management
*         Grounding in practice through industry, the military or some other form of experience
*         A record of engagement with companies and governmental institutions supporting student recruiting, program development and research
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience

Appointment: Full-Time, Tenure-Track, 9 Month Appointment, Additional Summer teaching may be available.
