Hi everyone,

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL) is continuing to grow and we are seeking talented and energetic professionals for multiple Postdoctoral Fellowship and Research Scientist positions at MIT.

We are looking for qualified, curious, and passionate post-docs and researchers to join our numerous education and research teams at CTL. We are especially looking for applicants interested in on-line and blended education. CTL designed, developed, and delivers all materials for the MITx MicroMasters Supply Chain program. This is the largest online supply chain education program out there - in just 2 1/2 years it has reached over 190,000 registered students from more than 190 countries and we have awarded over 20,000 Verified Certificates. If you want to be on the forefront of online, blended, and other innovative education initiatives - this is the place to be. All post docs and researchers will perform a combination of directed research, teaching, and outreach with corporate partners.

Requirements: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in supply chain management, transportation, logistics, operations management, information systems, engineering, economics, business, or a related discipline. Must have in-depth knowledge of one of the following research areas: supply chain design, supply chain analytics, supply chain strategy, supply chain technologies, or freight transportation. Evidence of the ability to develop and deliver lectures and class material at the graduate level (both masters and doctoral) is expected. Familiarity with statistical software and analytics tools to analyze big data preferred, as is experience with industry. Preference will be given to those with both methodological and practical work experience.

If interested, please send me an email directly with your CV and at least one writing sample (published or submitted paper).

Review of applicants will begin immediately. We will be interviewing at CSCMP in Seattle and INFORMS in November. Please feel free to forward this note to your students and colleagues.

Best,

Chris
