[Please post the following CFP]

Dear Colleagues,
We are proud to announce the launch of a new journal, Journal of Defense Analytics and Logistics. http://www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com/services/publishing/jdal/index.htm
Consistent with defense terminology, we use the term “Logistics” to denote all functions of the supply chain: from purchasing through returns – and beyond. As such, we welcome research from scholars who specialize in supply chain management, logistics, operations research, operations management, management, and related fields that directly contributes to understanding and improving regional, national, and/or international defense activities.
Governments across the globe spend a combined $1.76 trillion USD on defense. For instance, with an annual budget of nearly $600 billion, the US Department of Defense (DoD) represents the largest government expenditure in the world, representing 54% of discretionary US spending in 2015. Indeed, the US DoD alone manages a $309 billion supply chain, and several of the largest public companies in the world support the global defense industry. Unfortunately, there are few journal outlets available to scholars interested in disseminating their work in this important industry, which impedes the accumulation of our collective knowledge. This journal seeks to fill this gap, and welcomes research from scholars across the globe.
We welcome new and interesting analytical, empirical, and conceptual articles that advance knowledge of defense analytics and “Big L” logistics. We are now taking submissions at our Scholar One site: https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/dal and hope that you will consider this outlet for your defense-related research.
Please do pass this CFP to any interested colleagues, and don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions about this new venture.

Sincerely yours,
Dr. Ben Hazen & Dr. Ray Hill
