at Paris, May 2nd-4th 2017

This event is supported by the French Foundation for Management Education (FNEGE) and the Association of International Research in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (AIRL-SCM)

Purpose


The objective of this workshop is to support young faculty members from France and all over Europe in their effort to publish their research in the most prestigious outlets within the logistics and supply chain management discipline. Over a period of three days, the editors of leading logistics and supply chain management journals will work together with the participants in an interactive way to provide hands-on advice on the research publication process.

    Alex Ellinger, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management
    Beverly A Wagner, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal
    Mohamed Zied Babai, Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal

Topics of discussion include the following: How to position a paper to contribute to SCM theory? How to move from the idea to the manuscript? How to effectively manage the reviewing process? How to craft a quantitative paper in SCM?

The seminar will be limited to 20 participants to ensure a high degree of interactivity between the participants and presenters (editors) and among participants and will take place in Paris from May 2-4, 2017.


Application procedure


Applications should be sent by e-Mail to the program coordinators: Professor Valentina Carbone, vcarbone at escpeurope.eu<mailto:vcarbone at escpeurope.eu> and Professor Karine Samuel, karine.samuel at grenoble-inp.fr<mailto:karine.samuel at grenoble-inp.fr> by March 1st 2017 at the latest.
Early applications are welcome. Applications should include a short (one-page) CV, a brief statement (300 words) on the reasons for wanting to attend the seminar and a copy of a recent research paper (either published or work-in-progress) authored or co-authored by the applicant. Selection will be based on academic achievement and participants will be notified by March 15th 2017.

Target Group

Full-time, tenure-track faculty members (mainly Assistant Professor level) in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, with a PhD, working for a European academic institution, aiming to boost their publication skills.

Participants are expected to be present during the full duration of the workshop, which may imply arriving in Paris in the evening of Tuesday, May 1rst and departing in the evening of Friday, May 4th.
